Rain, snow, sleet, or blowing ice — this feeder keeps delivering dry seed when every other feeder in your yard is clogged or frozen solid.

The Original Weatherproof Wild Bird Feeder — 4 QT Capacity

Designed by Songbird Essentials, the All Weather 4 QT Clear Feeder is built from unbreakable UV-stabilized polycarbonate resin with stainless steel hardware throughout. Its covered feeding port shields seed even when rain or snow is blowing horizontally — birds simply reach up under the port and pull seed from the circular slot. The result: fresh, dry seed available exactly when birds need it most.

Key Features

  • Weatherproof covered feeding port — keeps seed dry in rain, snow, sleet, and ice; will not clog
  • 4 QT seed capacity
  • Circular perch — 360° feeding access; see all your birds at once, even those on the far side
  • Bottom seed tray — catches spilled seed, easily removed for cleaning
  • Fully disassembles for cleaning — every piece comes apart individually; a clean feeder keeps your bird population healthy
  • Unbreakable UV-stabilized polycarbonate resin with stainless steel hardware throughout
  • Sturdy metal hanger included
  • 10-year manufacturer’s guarantee

Tips for Best Results

  • Position away from clusters of other feeders — birds will seek it out when other feeders are weather-blocked
  • Try Sunflower Hearts (no hull mess) to attract birds faster
  • Add a small amount of seed to the tray or peanut butter near the ports to initially entice birds

It took a few weeks for the birds to figure it out. I consistently put seed (medium chip sunflower) in the tray to keep them interested and eventually they started figuring it out and learning through watching other who got it. It's interesting watching the babies observing their parents and eventually imitating them. Definitely took patience and maintaining the other feeder next to this one to keep them coming in. I did wonder if it would work, but, with reading other reviews, I had patience, and now they get it! I love that the seed stays dry. With the often-torrential rain we get, it's great not having to clean out soaked gunky seeds from seed ports. Be patient and trust in the intelligence of birds - they will eventually figure it out.

Best hanging feeder yet!

I just love this feeder made by All Weather, durable, sturdy, extended time between fillups. Somewhat of a seed saver since birds have to reach up for seed, no dish swatting which happens with other feeder designs. And you call always contact All Weather to obtain spare parts. Just can't say enough good things about this feeder, and its 8qt sister feeder.

All weather feeder

Glad to see the all weather feeders now have a metal screw top rather than the plastic. Better quality than my last one although my last one lasted for several years before the top split. Great feeder. Never had a mold problem!

Works well for keeping moisture out

This is my second one, after eight years the one I had cracked when it fell then began to weather and fall apart. This is to be expected with plastic out in the elements, it had a good run.
