The only thing that’s needed is to cover the bottom otherwise is great

perfect - no grackles!

This is an attractive feeder in copper. I love the look of it. It works just as we hoped. We had a grackle invasion and this feeder took care of that. finches love it and even woodpeckers can get in except for the biggest and they just reach through with their long bills. I bought another after the first big success.

Bird feeder

I really like this feeder, I would prefer it had a bottom. I attached a paper plate to catch the seeds dropped, birds like to eat them this way also!

Quality feeder

I really like the design of this feeder. It comes apart so easily to clean and is well built.
I was having issues with the larger birds eating the small bird’s seed and the design of this feeder allows the smaller birds to access the seed. I was concerned the smaller birds wouldn’t be able to figure out how to get at the seed but by the end of the day they were feasting away in the new feeder.

Needs a bottom tray!

Will someone please tell the manufacturer of this attractive bird feeder that it would be perfect IF it had a bottom tray!? Without the bottom tray, dropped seeds go to the ground (to attract rodents) rather than on a plastic tray, with small holes for water drainage, so that the birds can stand around eating what's dropped. We tried attaching a tray but it's never really worked right because the tray should be inside the "basket" itself. It's a shame but we really can't recommend this feeder without the tray.

Attracts Too Many Birds!

I’ve owned other feeders similar to this one, but this copper looking feeder is better looking and better made than the others. The only problem is I need it to be bigger to feed all the hungry finches…I have to top it off at least twice a day. It has 6 portals for the birds, and they all just patiently wait for their turn, but I think a longer tube would definitely help this situation. I haven’t had to clean it yet, but it looks relatively easy to clean with 4 wing nuts on the underneath of the base. I do recommend it, but I wish it accommodated more seed-
